Your first surf.
No experience needed. Your coach takes you through four simple moves, on the sand first, then in small waves.

Paddle
Lie in the middle of the board and paddle with both arms, long and easy. Your coach tells you when to go.
Arms -
Pop-up
When the wave pushes you, press up and jump to your feet in one quick move. We practise it on the sand first.
Legs -
Balance
Feet wide, knees bent, eyes looking ahead, not down. Stay low and let the board carry you.
Core -
Ride the wave
Stay on your feet and ride the foam all the way to the beach. That is your first wave. Now paddle back and do it again.
